Where to begin....

the new job is going well. I am above the learning curve, of course, and for a desk job, it is intricate and ever changing. certainly enough to keep me occupied and rarely bored. Was having trouble remembering all the new info being piled into my brain there for a while, but with the puppies gone now, I am getting enough sleep to refresh my brain and keep me focused on what I am supposed to be learning.
Speaking of the puppies...
i actually took the day off of work on Wednesday to take them to the Humane Society. I had spent 10 weeks getting no sleep, (those of you that have experience with newborns of any kind know exactly what I mean) cleaning constantly, (there were 8 of them, plus my dog in my one bedroom apartment) and walking in to find my books torn to shreds, my movies off the racks, AND torn to shreds, and the carpet being used as a chew toy. (with their chew toys sitting unused beside them) It was sad to take them there, and I was worried about how my dog would take the loss of her puppies, but we are adjusting to the quiet life again with an ease I don't find suprising in the least.
Speaking of my dog, just got back from the hospital where my father is recovering from surgery. Again. Seems he blew out a few discs in his back and the doctors thought that maybe the morphine tube that was installed up his spine last year had come out in the process. His cancer is fine though. Oh, and the three tumors wrapped around his spinal cord are no worse then they should be. Dear god that man is falling apart. but the surgery seems to have gone well, and he should be out of the hospital in a few days.
