(no subject)
I am happy to report that yes, I AM still alive! I have just been working a lot lately. I am so tired anymore that all I do is come home from work and crash in bed for a couple of hours. Then, on Meeting nights, I get up at the last minute, dress and grab a granola bar or something and shove it in my mouth on the way to the meeting. My body is trying to tell me I am not getting enough rest. So because of this, I actually turned down an invite to go out after the Memorial. I was just too tired!
Things at work are going good. I am finally getting the hang of my new position. The boss is happy with my work and I have even had good reports from some of my clients. They e mailed the boss about my "Great" customer service and that made me really happy. Sometimes I feel like I am not doing a good job, mostly from my own lack of self confidence. That has always been a problem with me. No self confidence. I don't know why, just always been like that.
We went out yesterday to look for a new bed. WOW!!!I got sticker shock as the price for even a "so-so" bed is about $1000.00! The nicer ones are in the 1500.00 to 2000.00 dollar range! I cannot believe it! I haven't bought a new bed in about 20 years. The last two beds we had were hand-me-downs. So we decided to for-go a new one and go buy a really nice egg crate type cushion to put on it instead. The old fashioned ones don't exist any more. We finally got one called a Memory Mattress for about $100.00 We came home and re-did the bed with the new cushion and the old one and we finally got some comfort from it. I feel really sorry for all you new couples out there who have to go and shop for furniture and beds now days! I hope those getting married are making GOOD money!
We are having "Goody Night" after the Book Study tomorrow night. I always look forward to these nights as sometimes they are the only way we get association. Seems lately that we are not in the "Loop " anymore. I do get tired of having people over all the time. I would like to go somewhere else sometime and eat at someone else's table! Hint! Hint!!! But as usual, everyone is always welcome at my house.
Well, I am in the process of doing some pre-Book Study cleaning so I should get off this "contraption" and do my work.
