001st Piece - [Video]
[Well, now isn't this a novel situation? The Kid wakes up and finds himself in a strange place, feeling like he's just landed on his head after a very long fall. Par for the course. As he sits up, he shakes his head a little, tryin' to clear out the cobwebs.
Sitting next to him, in this middle of this lovely park, is his communicator, something he knows absolutely nothing about. Might as well be a brick to him, but since it's so close, he reaches for it instinctively and accidentally hits a button that lights the whole thing up. Everybody else with one of these handy can tune in to see his bright, shining eyes staring into the screen for a moment before he finally picks himself up off the ground.
There's a few other things on the ground around him; the video feed records it all as he snatches up a large, thick shield, an old-fashioned bow, and a hefty hammer with a long pole. It also records as he freezes suddenly as he notices he's being surrounded.
Ferals...pretty little guys, aren't they? Kid remains perfectly still as four or so circle around him hungrily, then close in for a meal. The rest happens a little bit off-camera, but the sounds come in crystal-clear - dull, heavy thuds and a lot of canine whimpering.
A few moments pass, and the Kid snatches up his communicator. It looks too important to just leave there, so he spends a few moments - as he's catching his breath - looking it over.]
"...huh."
