- Kakashi and friends search for leads
- Sasori 'guesses' that it's Hojo
- Kakashi is intrigued by one of Jenova's riddles; tells Misao
- Misao asks a filtered set of people about Hojo and Jenova
- Reno replies to Misao about Hojo but it's filtered from Kakashi
- Hojo posts that Rikku didn't meet him; Kakashi believes him
- Kakashi is again intrigued by Jenova's riddle; she fails to answer one of his questions, and he realizes that she has something to do with it
- Kakashi breaks the rule about going to the lower level after dark to confront Jenova
- Jenova broke loose; Kakashi encounters her on the streets
- Jenova uses Rikku to her advantage; Kakashi is overwhelmed
- Jenova escapes; Kakashi is too tired to follow
- Mao finds Kakashi and plays with his head
