I was flicking round at the weekend on Amazon, just browsing through and planning what to get myself for my birthday, when I saw stargate season eight there for only £7.
So, naturally, i dived on it, ordered it, groaned when I realised that it had a delivery time of 4 - 6 weeks (but given that Amazon are normally okay at delivering before the time they say they will, it wasn't too big a groan.)
And have been sitting back squeaking that I'm going to own a copy of Threads that I thought I'd be able to wear out in a matter of weeks.
Until now. Just had an email off the oh-so-helpful people at amazon saying that they'd priced it incorrectly so they'd cancelled my order and i was free to reorder it.
£50!!!!
I think not.
So I'm sulking. Never mind that I've got an exam tomorrow, I'm directing all my mental energy into giving the amazon staff a creeped out, uneasy feeling (you know the one where you're sure that something dreadful's happened, but you're not sure what).
It was season eight of stargate and they've added over £40 to the price! "You save £10". Big deal.
