I need to buy paint and drop sheets tomorrow. The cat did his best to lose a paw in an attempt to ground the katana this morning, and fell off of the bookshelves in the process. He latched onto the wall in a bid to stay near the ceiling ( Read more... )

Dare I ask what's wrong with the old rug?

It's fugly. And it's old.

Did you just use the word "fugly"?

Being a compound word between 'fucking' and 'ugly,' both of which generously describe the flooring in that apartment.

It doesn't get better with age, you know. Persian rugs are antiques. Old carpeting just becomes a reason to have horrific avocado-colored flashbacks to the 1970s.

I like to be prepared. You never know when a partially gutted werewolf will crawl across your floor. We are not spending an obscene amount of money on carpet.

Perimeter alarms; one may purchase them in this day and age. Although, in retrospect, that may be more of a solution for me than you. If the police are called to my condo, they're likely to find a man in a black mask as opposed to something with teeth and a taste for Greek.

That would be an awkward insurance claim to make.

This from the puck whose front door cost more than Cal can afford to spend on a leather jacket. Welcome to a lower income bracket, where money spent on a perimeter alarm translates to no funding for animal control.

Decent hardwood is hard to come by for a reasonable price with all of this Fair Trade business going on these days. Zeus, even decent coffee. You cannot blame me that I appreciate the idea of upping my property value, as opposed to...whatever Cal living on site might do.

If Delilah ever comes to visit and locks them both in his room, I won't ask. It's enough that I find his laundry afterward.

He can last long enough to get his pants all the way off now? Color me duly impressed.

He's all grown up, Robin. He'll have to start wearing a cup to spar.

Are you giving my little brother credit for that much intelligence?

He isn't here to get a big head about it, so I may as well admit that Caliban has that much intelligence. His problem is that he has depth and lacks utterly breadth.
