[Niko is up well before dawn, well before what even he considers a civilized hour, and moving silently through the apartment. He laces his running shoes, pulls on a light jacket over a tee-shirt and jeans, and ties his hair back in a tight tail at the nape of his neck. A relatively light load of weapons--only ten knives and his wakizashi--is transferred from storage to concealment on his person. The note he leaves taped to the door is succinct:
Out. Back by sunrise.

Two minutes after he's left the apartment, he doubles back down the hall, unlocks the front door, and retrieves the cell phone he'd originally thought to leave behind.
His intended path will take him from the building to the Wild, then on to the beach, where he'll follow the shore for a mile before cutting through the trees again. It's possible that once he returns to the city proper he'll detour to the dojo to practice katas, but more likely that he'll go underground, where his sword can cut through something more substantial than air.]

Action is open to anyone who might encounter him above ground while he's running before the sun comes up (say between 3:00 and 4:00 AM), or who might encounter him shortly after the sun's risen, either while he's at his dojo doing katas or walking back home from there. If a character has good reason to call his cell phone, they can also do that to interact with him, either in this post or in his phone post. No Underground encounters please, though characters can see him entering or leaving there. And yes, housemates, he is staying out notably longer than he said he would.]
