"[The unicorn] did not attain his beauty all at once. As soon as we begin to inquire how he looked to the imagination of the Ages of Faith we are reminded that his ancestry is mixed, that he descends from the horse and the ass on the side of the Greeks and from the goat on that of Physiologus. Just about anything has purer intentions than him...

I am her roommate actually and someone from her world. However, I believe she and I have gone beyond the acquaintance level. Abbagor though? Trolls are generally too unintelligent to have names of their own where I am from.

You are well read then. That is comforting to find.

The giving of names isn't needed to signify intelligence. It wouldn't have mattered if Abbagor had a name or not; he was still not a creature whose intellect it was wise to confront unprepared.

As much as I can be, particularly when the information is pertinent to my immediate interests.

I believe I can say that I am much the same way.

If your similarity extends beyond the general acquisition of knowledge, yes, that is the question.

I was indicating the need to expand knowledge based on a particular need. This was how I met Holly actually.

Faerie research?

Exactly. Obtaining their book and translating it. Then reading through the entire work for memorization purposes.
