Fridays and the joy they bring

So, it is Friday, I am getting coffee and the sun is shining, and all is relatively good with the world, which is pretty miraculous in and of itself.

Apart from being slightly too warm in the labs today, work was fine, and as it's a Friday I got out at three thirty, which means I've had time to nip to the shops and go via ikea and buy a few picture frames, which means tonight I can frame the Boondock Saints poster I've bought and frame up the random doodle art piece I've been working on, though really calling it art is probably pushing it a little, but I've had fun making it, so what does it really matter.

So since I last posted, which yeah was a while ago, I'm not really getting any better at this posting regularly malarkey, I've watched series one of The Walking Dead (loved it, looking forward to season two), re-watched the Boondock Saints (one and two) a couple of times a piece, and watched a large number of random films, some good, some only okay. But that has been fun.

I've also seen the first six episodes of A Game of Thrones, of which I am a big fan of the books, and am really enjoying the series so far. Thankfully I have a good friend at work who is recording the episodes for me so I can watch them, as it is airing on a channel I don't have over here. So I am a little behind the rest of the UK but at least I am seeing it.

I have also started sorting out my office/loft room, which has been less fun but moderately productive. And I have started swimming once a week again, fingers crossed I will keep it up this time.

All in all life doesn't seem to bad, I need to go buy a tent next weekend, for a folk festival I am attending at the end of the month ( my first festival ever, and my first time camping too), and I am looking forward to seeing Dolly Parton in concert at the end of August, and my friend is visiting from Colorado at the end of September, so I actually have quite a bit to look forward to this year, which is nice, gives you a reason to get through the day.

Well, I am contemplating another cup of coffee......
