(no subject)

so in the past two hours I've written exactly 27 words...if I carry on like this my dissertation will be finished sometime in august...which doesn't do me much good considering it's due on May 10th...oh well, hopefully the conclusion will be easier to write.

I decided last night to read my way through the due south archive at www.squidge.org/dsa which while I have been there periodically over the years and thought that I'd read most of the stuff there already, I'm enjoying going through it. I've startd at A sorted by author and am on G now....so yeah..I'm skipping some (read lots) of the stories...I have to say that i'm quite selective as to the pairings i can bring myslef to read...i became so obsessed with Ray Kowlaski's character that i'm actually unable to read things without him in...even though i love Vecchio almost as much. It's a strange block for me...one that annoys me quite a bit as it happens in most fandoms i into, I've always been the sort of person who picks a favourite character, in books, movies, tv, you name it, and unfortuantely for me it's often the guy that gets killed of halfway thorugh, but it also means that i need that character present in the fiction i read in order to connet with the story properly, this of course means i miss out on some amazing fiction by people who are writing in the fandom but not for my character. Sometimes I can be persueded to read a story without my selected character in it, but it has to come heavilly reccommended. Damn I hate my brain sometimes...but back to the subject, thats why I'm up to G on the archive already. Some of the stories are new, some it's been a while since I read. If anyone out there knows of the new home for the Tales of the Mountie Slayer (wyrm rock appears to be down) I'd appreciate it if you'd let me know, I love that series and the ones archived on DSA are confusing as ot the order they are to be read in.

Well I've rambled about boring crap for long enough now, must go and conclude my project dissrtation thingy.
