Knee surgery journal
I haven't been posting, but I want to keep a running account of my journey to a better knee.
Surgery on my left knee is scheduled for August 13, four weeks from today. I saw the doctor today to get the details. We discussed the likely size of the incision, the anesthesia, and the likely recovery.
It will be up to the anesthesiologist and me whether I have general or spinal (epidural) plus sedation. I am favoring the latter.
I will probably be in the hospital three days and then in a rehab facility for a week or so. It sounds as if I can leave the facility as soon as I can make it up the front stairs to the house.
