In the name of holy cancer fighting...

READ THIS POST!

Ok. I've been told I need to do a Relay update...which is probably a good plan seeing as how the event is now ONLY TWO WEEKS AWAY!

1) COMMENT WITH YOUR T-SHIRT SIZE IF YOU AT ALL PLAN ON GETTING AN OFFICIAL RELAY SHIRT. Unfortunately ( Read more... )

1) Med please.
2) Yes. I'll have to leave for work around 12:15 (so's I can get the 25th off), but I'll be rockin' the morning.
3) My dad has offered to do a fundraiser for us at his Ponderosa. Problem is, he's not at 10th anymore, he's in Beech Grove...and the way they would do it is just to let us set up a table of some kind and anything above and beyond their normal business goes to us. So I don't know how we could reach that community very effectively to advertise. But let me know if you're interested.
4) My schedule's always about the same. Couldn't make Wednesday mornings or Friday or Saturday evenings, but anything else is fair game.
5) I shouldn't have commented here yet...I'm still pondering. Hrm.
6) Have you ordered any bracelets? I was planning on it, but I'm not sure how long they take to arrive. Shouldn't be 2 whole weeks...right?

I didn't order any yet, because I didn't know if it was all going to work. I have no idea how long they take (another of my concerns). All the website says is that it is subject to demand and availability.

Hmm...what should we do about the Ponderosa thing. That's a good idea...but how to go about it?

I *may*...I'm not sure, but I'm thinking about it...I may order them today, and if they don't get here on time, I'll just see what I can do to sell them afterward. Actually, first I think I'll see if there's a number or an e-mail that I could use to get an approximate shipping time before I order ( ... )

I'll go with you if I can ...I work SO much, but yeah. I don't work Friday or next Tuesday, for sure. If you want to do it, I'm for it.

Hmm, Tuesday...That might work really well. I'll see when my dad is working, because I could go Sunday or Monday and spread the word around the town a little bit. Since we don't have anything like bracelets to "give away," maybe we could steal the star idea that Regal (and every other business) uses, and ask for donations of a dollar as they come in in return for their name on a "walk of fame" star, in keeping with our theme. I mean, that would give us a chance to give them some idea of what we're doing rather than "The surplus from the meal you're about to eat goes to us." But it's early and my Silly Idea radar is off, so let me know what you think. :)

OH MAN! If this would have come up before that last meeting on Tues, I actually could have gotten stars from the Relay people that we could use for exactly that! POOOOOOOOOOOOOOP!

We could still run with this idea though. I just don't like the idea of cutting out stars for it. Maybe we could take down thier names and they could be entered in a raffle for a free dinner for two? Could you dad do that? I mean, like min donation of some dollar amount, and they could win dinner? And we get their phone # or something. I don't know...maybe that's too much to ask from Ponderosa...but it's an idea. Because if we did that, then we could get the surplus from just one day, but maybe we could take donations and get names from people for two or three nights...

I could ask him about it, and that would be a nice way to extend the donations period...I don't know if he can do that or not, but he's kind of excited so I think just about anything's possible as long as Pondo Corporate's okay with it. :) If you like the stars idea at all, though, or if we want to have two options (like, $5 for a dinner raffle, $1 for a star), I bet anything we could find a tear-away pad of them at someplace like Michael's. For fairly cheap, too. I'm going there today with Sarah to get some rockin' foam boards for our car wash signs, so I could take a look.

Sounds like a plan. Look into it, and we'll do what we can! If we do the meeting on Monday, perhaps we can do the donation thing on Tues/Wed.
