yesterday's final exam went well, i think. i have yet to receive a "please don't come to the graduation ceremony" phone call, so i'm going to cross my fingers and hope that means i passed.
my cake was the Marquise au Chocolat: dark chocolate mousse with a hazelnut-crispy centre and chocolate biscuit, glazed with an almost impossibly shiny chocolate icing. my mousse was slightly heavy, but my glazing was pretty damn good. aside from when i jabbed a pot handle into the side of it, but there was some frenzied reconstructive surgery and i managed to cover it up.
am off to be a judge for the final exam for the basic level: cake for dinner, huzzah!
