[Background]
wiki [Personality]
Honey's personality is perhaps the personification of his outside looks. Declared as the 'loli-shota' type of the Host Club, Honey's selling point to the female students of Ouran Academy is his sweetness and charms. Because seriously speaking, who can resist that cute and moe smile anyway? He lugs around a pink bunny which he calls Bun-Bun, he takes afternoon naps, he vacuum-cleans plate after plate after plate of cakes. He's cheerful and outgoing and excitable and really lovable. He lights up the entire room just by STANDING THERE, for God's sake - or sitting there and eating cake, at least. Heck, he's the Host Club's resident cheer-up charm during Tamaki's bouts of gloom and doom. He's forever smiling and laughing and constantly surrounded by shoujo flowers and bubbles. A complete contrast to Mori who is silent and hardly reactive, Honey will strike up a conversation with almost anyone and everyone, with the innocence of a child that can fool just about anyone.
It's also a running joke that Honey often has ideas to make situations better albeit (1)it's always bound to fail, (2)he gets distracted by something else hence it fails ooooor (3)Mori intervenes before the failure actually happens.
But really, that moe face? Don't be fooled by it. Men have been fooled by it and suffered the consequences.
Honey can be very, very sly if he wants to. Even he knows how much the girls adore him and that with just a smile or puppy-dog eyes, he can get whatever he wants, whenever he wants it [it's usually a cake or some dessert, trust me]. He's a determined little boy and will not give up, come hell or high water, if it's something that he really, really wants [again, it's usually cake]. He's not below feigning tears or giving subtle hints or just looking guiltily cute. It's his form of blackmail! Of course, whether or not it succeeds or fails is another question at hand. Proof? The snack ban at the Club where Honey was forced to do whatever it takes to eat a cake again.
Honey can also turn into a raving lunatic over the things he has obsession over, like cakes for example. He's bound to throw tantrums like a little kid when refused to be given any sweets. He's bound to start biting people and latching on their arms. He's bound to turn to violence in the worst case scenario. And then . . . he's bound to cry afterwards like a scolded child when things don't go his way. His mood, while oftentimes pleasant and cheery, can swing from one side of the spectrum to the other within a few minutes.
To truly anger Honey however takes a lot of skill and patience. Or you could just, I don't know, disturb him in the middle of his nap, bully his friends or ban snacks in the Club. Actually, dirtying Bun-Bun is mortal sin in itself. And when angered, Honey is incredible. The happy smile disappears, his aura darkens and Honey turns serious. And a serious Honey is never something to be cheered about, considering he can beat up a group of armed and trained soldiers without breaking a sweat. All before tea time. He's also been known to hold grudges, though this is usually saved for people who really, truly hurt those he care about.
But despite having the most youthful features in the group [even his brother mentions that he doesn't look like a high school student. Even his own FATHER told him that he looks weak :|], Honey is nevertheless mature. He's 18, let's not forget that, and the second oldest among the Host Club members after Mori. He's observant; he may seem to just be eating cake in the corner but really, he's NOT just eating cake :| In connection to that, he's also very perceptive; he may not seem to paying attention but mark my words, he knows what's going on around him and he knows what's transpiring between people. He's the second one to notice that Haruhi was a girl [Kyouya was first because well, he had a cheat sheet]. He also noticed the growing feelings of Hikaru and Tamaki for Haruhi loooooong before those two even realized it. He was the person Kaoru ran to when he didn't know what to do with Hikaru and his feelings for Haruhi [of course, the other twin ran over to Mori lmfao]. He's very understanding; he knows what Tamaki is going through in his family, accepts his brother Yasuchika's feelings of insecurity, takes into considerations Haruhi's flaws when it comes to interacting with the general populace, pretty much knows everyone's problems. And in turn, Honey gives out really good advice, at times even just saying words of wisdom in the middle of a hard-pressed situation or event.
His relationship to the Host Club is like that of a big brother [even though he does look like the baby], looking after his little brothers and sister. Like I said, one of the ways to anger Honey is to mess up with the people he care about and the Host Club is just that. His responsibility as the big brother is to ensure the group's well-being. To Honey, what's more important to him is what makes the people he cares about happy. When they're happy, he's happy. And when everyone's happy, there's always cake.
Now Mori. Mori's relationship with Honey had always been that of really close friends, almost brothers. He's the only person who could control and calm Honey down during his fits, to the point that even Tamaki turns to him when things go out of hand. They're always inseparable, having grown up together as kids. Honey, well, he used to tease him into doing whatever stuff and Mori's, well, off to do whatever stuff it was but that's mostly because of Mori's strong loyalty to Honey.
[Specialties/Abilities]
Honey doesn't have any magical or supernatural skills. He has no use for it, seriously. What he has however is prowess in different types of martial arts. Being the eldest son of the Haninozuka family, a clan well-known through the ages for their legendary skills and knowledge of martial arts, Honey has been trained since a child to fight and is even considered as one of the most powerful members of the clan in history.
It's not just the skills though. It seems that Honey has superhuman strength. He can defeat a guy ten times bigger than him with a judo flip. He can beat up a large group of armed men [read: GREEN BERET] in a short period of time, even shorter when his temper flares. He's powerful enough to send two people flying when he kicks without breaking a sweat. And he's so terrible that Japan's Minister of Defense had made sure that Honey's strength be not used in public out of fear of being accused by other countries of harboring such a powerful assault weapon. Honey's very athletic, quick on his feet and has excellent reaction time and instincts.
Aside from that, he also seems to have skills in using different martial arts weaponry, from kunai to shuriken to a telescopic baton. His accuracy is pin-point that he aim and throw a shuriken and hit a mark WHILE FLYING IN THE MID-AIR WHAT IS THIS.
[Affection] Honey is probably the most affectionate person in terms of being physical. He's like cuddling, hugging and glomping. And headpatting and fawning over him and kyaa-ing. And yeah. You get the picture.
[Fighting] Honey doesn't like fighting without a reason so find a reason first to pick a fight with him. Aside from that, he's a good fighter. A really good fighter. It's his natural ability and he's able to overcome a group of Green Beret by himself so :|
[Other Permissions] Go crazy. Just don't mention that he's-- a fictional character. Other than that, it's free game.
[Other Facts] HE LIKES CAKE. HE LIKES LIKES LIKES LIKES CAKE. And spicy food, surprisngly. He's also a low-blood pressure beast lmfao. In short, when he's sleeping, don't wake him up.
