[Once upon a time, long ago and in a land whose name I cannot recall, there was a kingdom. And that kingdom, as was in the fashion of kingdoms of that age, there was a king and he was much beloved by all. But one day, illness overtook the king, and he died, leaving behind only his new wife and his young daughter. Except for the part where the queen tried to have her stepdaughter (or stepson, really, as it may be) killed and dumped in the woods. Which didn't really go just as planned. But the "heart" the woodsman brought back was nice anyway.

And that, dear listener, is where our story begins, once upon a time...]
