Man, I love lists.

A lot has been going on this past week, so I'ma do my best to summarize stuff in list form.

-As of Sunday, I have owned Sharif for 14 years. Naturally, he got extra treats that day, and I actually worked up the energy to ride him for a little while. He was a little frisky at first, but he soon settled down and was a perfect angel the rest of the day. I'm sore as hell now, but it was totally worth it. ♥

-I saw The Hunger Games with my parents on Friday. I was an especially big dork and wore a shirt with Rue on it, 'cause seriously, she's adorable. We all really enjoyed the movie (even dad, who hasn't read the books yet), which is a relief because I was so worried that I'd hate it. I may gush about it in a later post. We'll see.

-Mom deliberately stirred up a massive wankstorm by posting this music video on her Facebook. *sniff* I've never been so proud. XD

-In downer news, Mom just found out that she has really bad asthma, and the meds she needs are really, really expensive. Sure, we don't need no health care reform. *insert long-winded rant here*

-In bittersweet news, the other day when Mom and Aunt Beth were cleaning up at Mamaw's house, they came across an old notebook hidden in the back of Mamaw's closet. Much to their surprise, it contained an old short story she'd written about me and this kitten I had found and given to them (his name was Tigger), back when I was about two-ish. And it's really, really good and none of us knew what a good writer she was and I just wish she were here so we could all tell her so and oh hell, I'm tearing up. Really, everyone who's read it has just bawled over it. I'll talk more about it later, but I will say that we're definitely going to try and get it published in her memory.

-In lighter news, I just finished a nice book called Ash, by Malinda Lo. It's basically a retelling of Cinderella, but with more faeries and lesbians. :D

-In Skyrim news, Teliil is now level 43, has defeated Alduin (and used up her entire supply of healing potions in the process), killed the emperor, is almost done returning the Thieves' Guild to its former glory, is repopulating the Blades, has become the Arch-Mage and is about to win the war for the Stormcloaks. Well, you know what they say: ain't no rest for the wicked. I really hope that the fact that she's doing all of the daedra quests doesn't get her in trouble with the Eight Nine Divines, dammit, or with Sithis. Or Nocturnal, since she's a Nightingale and all. Meh, she'll just cross that bridge when she comes to it.
