It's a war-wilf!

My desktop computer broke last Sunday, and it's still at the shop. Luckily, I had just set up my new laptop the day before, so at least I can still get online and do schoolwork. I didn't have time to transfer anything over from my desktop, though, so I'm still stuck without access to my documents, pictures, music, favorites, photoshop, etc. Also, something got fucked up with my external hard drive, so that's a bust, too. Hope they can save everything. I mean, I'm pretty sure the problem is with the DVD drive and not the hard drive, but I'm still kind of worried. Fingers crossed.

Anyway, the Monster class is going well. He divided us into groups of four or five based on our respective interests, and I was lucky enough to make it into the werewolf group, which was my first choice. Our first project is to do a "grand tour" of the subject, or write out twenty questions regarding the myths that we plan to learn the answers to. I actually had a lot of fun writing mine. Maybe I'll post them here sometime. Anyway, in last week's class we watched two episodes of Buffy, "Hush" and "Once More With Feeling." Despite my sort of love/hate feelings towards Joss Whedon (I love Firefly, but hate Dollhouse and his run on the Runaways series, plus I have issues with aspects of his brand of feminism/progressiveness), I actually enjoyed both episodes and am just about ready to give in and look up the whole series on Netflix or something.

Oh, and there's also this one guy in class who's a special brand of asshole and know-it-all hipster. Always saying stuff like, "Well, they've got to be better than Shakespeare's sonnets, ugh! Those are terrible!" or "I used to be a pre-med student, and thank God I'm not anymore, but I learned that vampirism is also known as porphyric hemophilia." I wanted to say, "Yes, we've all played Oblivion, we know what porphyric hemophilia is." Also, the professor had brought it up in class the week before, so...yeah. Anyway, he's annoying, but also kind of entertaining.

I'm planning on going to see Sharif today, for the first time in almost two weeks (stupid immune system). Hopefully my dizzy spells will have subsided by then so that I can actually ride this time.
