It went as well as can be expected. There were a few technical issues, what with the police escorts never showing up and not choosing photos that represented the whole family for the montage, but other than that it went fairly well. Except that the whole thing was live-streamed so in addition to the hundreds of people at the funeral, thousands of people around the world got to see their beloved, strong, solid-as-a-rock Papa-Ken absolutely broken from grief. I can't speak for anyone else who was there, but the tears I shed today were for him, not Mamaw. Which is not to say that I'm not grieving for her, because I am, it's just that right now I feel worse for Daddy-Ken's loss of his wife of 64 years than I do about losing my grandmother, you know?

Anyway, I'd better end this here before I get any loopier. Ambien, and all that.
