But really, I totally love dogs.
About half an hour ago, there was a series of gunshots from somewhere in the neighborhood, and then fifteen minutes later there was a knock on my door. I just sort of froze in place as the dogs all barked their heads off, hoping that whoever it was would get the message. Well, they got a message at least; the cops drove by (apparently they'd been called to check out the source of the gunshots) and whoever the people at my door were, they scampered, and now all is well. Mac and Sokka, however, are not convinced of this, and have refused to leave my side ever since. Whenever I go into another room, one goes out ahead of me and the other one follows me. It's like they're my own personal bodyguards! Such loyalty. Such utterly undeserved loyalty. ♥ ♥ ♥ It's especially impressive coming from Sokka, who is a coward by nature, so this means he must love me a lot.
I must admit, my mood and general view of my dogs today has also been helped by the fact that, since Dixie is staying with mom for the time being, there has been very little need for clean-up duty. Guess she's too much of a rebel, she lands them in a stew, she's a bad influence, (a bad influence), a bad influence on you-oooouuuu the other dogs. Hey, guess what show I've been watching.
