I don't know if I've posted about this here yet, but even if I have it bears repeating. The casting decisions for the live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender movie have me absolutely livid due to the blatant and unapologetic racism involved. I fully intend to boycott this film and would encourage everyone else to do the same. If you aren't familiar with Avatar, I'd recommend browsing through this page, racebending.com, just to get an idea as to why this whitewashing business is such a big deal. This youtube video also provides a good illustration of the problems here.
