Managed to get the essay done on time, but I'm really not happy with it. At all. Well, better a sucky paper than no paper. And after all that stress and exhaustion and desire to get it done so I could go to sleep...I ended up not being able to do so until 4 AM Friday morning. Adrenaline, I guess. I did manage to sleep for about 20 hours, though. I even managed to replenish enough energy to go yardsaling today. There were some really good ones out, too. I got a Mythbusters DVD, a new rolling backpack, Prince of Persia DS, Spore Creature Creator DS, a copy of Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator, a lovely blouse, a baby lemon tree, a new coat for Sokka and a few extra surprises to go in a package I've been meaning to send some friends. And I spent less than $25. CAN I GET A FUCK YEAH.
Anyway, I crashed for about 6 hours not long after I got home, but it was all totally worth it. Hopefully I'll have time to plant the lemon tree out front in between writing my paper on the Miller's Tale tomorrow. It'd do me good to do be out in the sun for a while, and I always enjoy working in the garden. Hell, if things go well enough on the paper and I'm not too worn out from planting, I may go and visit Sharif. Haven't seen the poor boy in a week, and that was just when I stopped by to pay his board. At least I know he's happy and being well-cared for, though.
Recently, I've gotten into X-Men comics, of which the local library has a large collection. I've enjoyed the ones I've read so far, but I really hate Wolverine, 'cause he's an overrated jerkass Stu. I can't wait to get to the Runaways issue (which I've also recently started) where he gets beaten up by an 11-year-old. Speaking of new comic book loves, I can't believe it took me this long to get into Read or Die, or that my dad beat me to it. Some lesbian fangirl I am. *shame*
Also, for anyone who's into the Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney series, I definitely recommend its "Official Casebook Files" manga series. It's full of cute silliness and pretty artwork, not to mention a fair bit of fanservice for all of the various shippers. Also, Pearl. That much adorable should not exist in one place. If she and Chiyo of Azumanga Daioh were to meet, the universe would implode from sheer cuteness. No joke.
So...yeah.
