Feeling cheerier and more tolerant of the world in general today, and a lot of that has to do with the fact that I'm finally registered for classes. A while back, I'd decided to go ahead and transfer from Pensacola Junior College to the University of West Florida, even though I haven't gotten my A.A. yet. The transfer process was long and diffictult, but it is complete as of today. Just in time for classes on Monday, in fact.
Due to all of my health issues, I've decided to only take two courses this semester, and luckily the advisor I spoke to was incredibly kind and helpful. I'm currently taking:
Physical Geology MWF 9:00-9:50 AM
Understand Relations MWF 11:00-11:50 AM
The buildings these two classrooms are in are not only close together, but they're also close to the cafeteria, natatorium and workout room. Also, the campus is beautiful. It's a bird sanctuary, has a lovely nature trail, and is generally full of beautiful trees and wildlife. As an added bonus (and I think I'm the only person in the world who would think this is a bonus), my dad is also a student here and he's been able to show me around, introduce me to various professors and so on. He's really been a big help and I know I'm lucky to have him around.
So, I've been in fairly good spirits since I got home. I've registered for classes, bought my books, gotten a parking decal and I'm ready to begin. Apparently Mrs. Giggles was caught up in the celebratory mood as well, because she just brought me half of a dead frog as a present. Gee, thanks, Gigs. That's...swell.
Anyway, yay me. Hopefully UWF will turn out to be better than PJC. At PJC, I was slowly spiralling into madness, and just the thought of going back there makes me hyperventilate. I'm hoping that the process of losing my already feeble grip on sanity will go a lot faster at UWF. ~crosses fingers~ I'm going to go to bed now, because the muscle relaxer I took is finally starting to kick in. Nighty night.
