Compiler's Note: Almost immediately after watching I was putting songs together, so I thought I'd throw some down.

[this is John-to-Sherlock telling him he’s not going to give up]

[this is John realising that Sherlock has reached the end]
04 - all time love : will young.
[Sherlock wonders how on earth he managed to live before he had John]
05 - tears of an angel : ryandan.
[John doesn’t want to hear what Sherlock’s saying; or see what he’s about to do]
06 - say it to me now : glen hansard.
[there are things that need to be said - and well, if this the last chance to say it…]
07 - the moon : cat powers.
[Sherlock wonders if John will still be the man he knew after this]
08 - space child : ufo.
[this is the look of adoration on Sherlock’s face when John immediately says ‘you could.’]
09 - rocket brothers : kashmir.
[this is John’s hopefulness that maybe Sherlock is still out there, somewhere]
10 - fall to pieces : velvet revolver.
[this is a John after Sherlock has been gone awhile, and is starting to think, maybe…]
11 - if you ever come back : the script.
[this is John throwing out messages, clutching at straws.]
12 - someone like you : adele.
[and this is Sherlock reflecting on a John who has married and settled down…]
