Dec 22, 2010 01:55

Remember that tumbr-style Sherlock picspam I did before? [Course you do, it's right there >_<.] Well I've just done another one! Covering the scene after the next - the one Warlock didn't giggle at ^_^. [REALLY difficult to not just do every single screencap, lol.]

Nuffin' further to declare, except:

LOL! Sherlock = so pretty - because, as you can probably tell, I got stuck on a coupla specific caps, like the big close-ups of his face, and had to PHYSICALLY STOP myself doing every ~single~ cap. >_<.

[Thankee for commenting. ♥ Me = happy. *_~]

Oh please, if you have the time, DO MAKE MORE CAPS! I cannot get over how pretty he is XD Seriously, have they photoshopped him on Sherlock, because I swear he was not as pretty when I saw him on Stuart: A Life Backwards some weeks before watching Sherlock, LOL XD

Lols! Well, when you put it like that, I might have to, now! ^_^

I've been wondering about this, actually. I think usually has more minor roles - or rather, ones that aren't particularly attractive - he's usually bespectacled or ginger [not that I've got anything against 'em!] or the geeky counterpart to some rougher/tougher type. [2 examples - 1, Atonement. Plays a kiddie-fiddler. NOT APPEALING. 2, saw him in The Other Boleyn girl, last night. His role? To be an ineffectual husband and have bad sex with Scarlet Johansen, just to make Eric Bana look good! Oyvey!]

But in Sherlock, they've grown the hair out into the best style for him, dyed it black [since the original unaired pilot], lost the glasses, given him a really well-cut costume, he's center-stage, and most importantly, HE'S the one who shows OTHER CHARACTERS up. No one can steal his thunder, because no one's up to the same standard as Sherlock! ^_^

*depresses gush button*

Well, usually I don't care if people have unsympathetic roles (gonna have to check out those you mention ^^ ), but I completely agree that the black hair does all the difference! And that intense stare, And the impeccable wardrope *drools* And basically just the character of Sherlock. Even though he had the lead, or one of them, in "Stuart", Sherlock is just such a forceful presence on the screen that he basically invades you lol. It was definitely because of the character that I fell hard :D And now of course I think he's uber cute with glasses or blonde hair or whatever, unobjective as I am ;P But he's still absolutely the prettiest as Sherlock. SIGH.

ITA, I was totally the same! Benny wasn't on my radar until Sherlock >_<. [But I'd even like him in Atonement, now! WHICH IS WORRYING] Another thing about THE black hair - it makes the eyes far more noticeable. Right down to the RIDICULOUSLY LONG and very pretty eye-lashes. *swoony sigh*

YES OMG, those pale electric intense eyes are just sdjfhhskjfahskfh.. They are SOOO pretty and you caught so many of them with these captions <33333 His black hair does make his skin pale too, maybe that also makes him look more.. celestial.. I hope they never change his hair because it is sexy as hell. Can I have sex with his hair pls?

Alright that's it, I'm off to buying Atonement!

Yes. Yes you may have sex with his hair. ^_^
[You're spot on about the pale skin! IIRC, Gatiss called him 'spectral.' Spot on! *yay for ho!yay*] What's surprising is that I did practically nothing to Benny's eyes in any of these. [Not even the close-ups!] His eyes REALLY ARE just that gorgeous. ♥_♥

[Btw, don't want oversell Atonement to you, Benny-wise - he's barely in it. BUT, it's a cracking film anyway. *if you do get to see it, look out for the shot of the Normandy Beach. Just jaw-dropping!* ]

LOLOL of course Gatiss would say that XD I love that guy. HoYay indeed :P It's good to know we have a man on the inside lol. I guess the lighting really does a lot of to make Sherlock's eyes shiny like that. Guuuuh. I think there is no stopping my gushing over his face *g*

Yeah I heard Atonement got a lot of praising. Just found it online so don't have to wait for amazon to ship, heee. Now I know what I will be doing tomorrow ^^

BTW, have you seen Stuart: A Life Backwards? You totally should, it's a good movie. Saw it 3 weeks before watching (or evening thinking about) Sherlock, because a friend who loves Tom Hardy recommended it. Now I feel like watching it again. I WONDER WHY *g*

Yeah, I've seen it! *got round to d/ling it t'other week* I saw it when it first came out, because I was/am a big Tom Hardy fan and story sounded intriguing. Watching it now is twice the fun! ^_^' *coffBISMARKcoff* >:-D

HA! Just found this quote:

'He [Benny] was also filmed in such a way that, with a shock of blackened hair, his parchment-pale skin and liquid eyes took on a translucent quality that made him appear both sickly and mesmerisingly other-worldly.'

LOL that is so true. Who said that about him? And is Benny really what they call him? :D
