that post earlier, that one down there - that was a bit of a downer, wasn't it? o_O'
Sod that melancholy nonsense! I'm coming back with a few of my favourite things that made me smile today:
1 - my mate Joe's jokes. He had me hoot-laughing all the way around the shops.
2 - the fact that he asked me to help him stealth!buy a pair of women's skinny-jeans since he'd heard they were cheaper than men's. Primark failed us.
3 - the odd bits of humour in Harry Potter #7 - like when Harry tries out a new wand with 'Engorgio' on a flame, which BURSTS into a pillar of fire, and he immediately shouts 'REDUCTIO!' to cries of 'what's going on in there?!' from Hermyown. Very funny comic-timing from Dan & Rupert. I think those boys are actually improving - Dan especially, but I think Rupert's come further.
4 - driving home through the snow and Prokofiev coming on the radio to give me pleasant daydreams of Merlin & Arthur in a Romeo & Juliet ballet production, all the way home. ^_^
5 - hunting round Youtube for snippets and clips about the beeb's BRILLIANT new take on Sherlock [rather, I should say, Moffat & Gatiss's brilliant new take] and finding that scene where Sherlock misreads what John is saying, and thinks he's coming on to him. Because it jogged my memory! I remember that Joe did ~exactly~ the same thing to me in our first year, and it was while we were in a cafe and everything! (I remember he was asking me whether I was going to respond to the advances of a female tutor who'd taken a shine to me, and I said, 'Naww, she's not my type - she's too... female.' And he sort of muttered, 'Oh, good.... UH! Well! Not 'good' I mean.' ^_^ ) LOL! It was all very Hugh Grant-ish. (And I can't work out if that makes me Watson or not??) Funny how I'd forgotten...
6 - seeing rayn's latest manip, flailing at it, and then setting about to do some weird stuff with trees in photoshop, LOL [I wanted to do something linking Merlin and Arthur together - so, the branches. Ended up looking a bit LOTR ^_^']
