Wow, I am ready for a different job. These people take themselves way too seriously. I was scheduled to work 4 to 10, but they still expected me to get the job done in 4 hours. The past two nights that I had been scheduled 10pm to 7am they let me go at 5 or 5:30am. They really must think that most people live like illegal immigrants (20 people to a house) cause I'm working part time as is and they're still shaving my hours.
On top of that, I dont know when I'll work until the day before meaning I can never make plans. And there's also no room for a real social or dating life since I never know.
I am applying to a trucking company again... a clerical job. If they can pay me over 10 bucks an hour I'll be happy. Even a third shift job with a trucking company wouldnt be a sliding shift, it'd be stationary, same days, same time. But most of them are 1st shift and almost guaranteed thats what clerical would be.
I gotta find something else.
Let me ask that for people like marcus who have worked retail/grocery management....
Are you expected to give a 2 week notice like every other industry or not?
