I have noticed over the past two years that I have been driving on the Catalina campus that it is quite difficult to find a good time in the morning to drive to school. I live about twenty minutes away from Catalina and every morning is a new experience when it comes to getting to school. It seems that no matter what time I leave my house I run into some aggravating problem along the way. If I leave to early in the morning I find myself at school with way too much time on my hands whereas if I leave on time I get stuck in traffic and in the long line to get into the parking lot in the morning. This is the thing that upsets me the most; sitting in my car with the engine running while the gate is clogged with five other cars just because some over protective parent didn’t want their precious child to walk the extra distance from the pedestrian gate. While the parent is getting lectured for the forth time I’m staring at my parking spot and wasting gas that is so very expensive at the moment.

Then at the end of the day there is a mad rush as everyone and their grandmother tries to escape from the school grounds for their freedom, and the cycle begins all over again with the exception that there are no parents to blame for the problems after school. The bulk of any portion of the blame is on the incompetent people that still try and make a left turn even though the rather large sign stating right turns only and an arrow pointing to the right is plainly in view. I do not feel worried in any way shape or form in calling these people incompetent simply for the reason that the mush have a hard time reading simple words and therefore probably will not read this newspaper. Last year the problem was so very small because a certain former vice principal would step up, throw on a baseball cap, and step out into traffic
