I've come to realize....

Most folks go to bars to socialize. Every person with a tattoo wants for them to be seen and appreciated.

I had the great pleasure of visiting with one of my oldest friends. We went to elementary  and jr. high school together in Allentown, PA. He is a year older but we still hung out. His sister was in my grade so that's how we met. He and his new wife came for a few days last week, and I had two full days to show them everything but the Quarter (they had a room down there so I let them do that on their own). It took Ryan a while to find the right woman, but I think the wait was worth it. I love me some Jocelyn, and you can tell the are just perfect for each other. They really did their research before coming down, and had a few places they wanted to eat at. Thankfully most were place I've been meaning to go to, but just hadn't had the chance. If you've been down here, you know we have a ton of great places to eat, but I also have my fav's which I quite enjoy pretty often (POC, Juan's Flying Burrito). I finally got to eat lunch at The Joint. A dump of a BBQ shack in the By-water. Damn, damn, damn if that wasn't incredible pulled pork and ribs.

For dinner we hit Dick and Jenny's, and Jacques-Imo's. Both were fantastic restaurants. I wouldn't be able to eat at either one often since they are moderately pricey, but if you ever want to go for a fantastic upper-medium priced dinner, these are well worth considering. In fact we are having your lab dinner next week at Jacques-Imo's on my recommendation (I'm sweating it's as good that night! :). We were leaning toward Baton Rouge for the dinner since most folks live there, but some were wanting to do something different, so New Orleans it is.

Anyway sorry for the diversion. Ryan and Jocelyn had a great time (so they say :), and boy did I show them some shit!

We were enjoying an adult beverage at The Avenue and I instantly set my sights on this gorgeous man sitting off to the side with his wife/girl friend, well, he had this great tattoo on his calf that the light was hitting it "just perfic", so I went over with my camera and asked both of them if they would mind if I took a pic. After I took it, he just had to show me his tat on his chest. OMG! This amazing man, pulls down his shirt and reveals his beautiful chest and tat!

Well since I've never been denied yet on taking a pic of someone's tat, I've come to realize that people really like to show them off.... and I'll be more than happy to admire! It's on.
