I am way too happy ...
I had a great day today... went shopping and spent too much money (especially since I have no job) but sometimes spendage is necessary!
I got the soundtrack to Shrek (which I recently discovered is really good), the Strictly Ballroom dvd which I have been dying to see since I saw Moulin Rouge and the soundtrack to Mamma Mia which hubby is taking me to see on Sept. 3. I am going to a show!! I am so excited. It isn't New York, but I am still thrilled. Hubby isn't really a show kinda person, but he likes ABBA's music so he asked if I wanted to go. I am counting this as the anniversary present and am very happy ;-)
Also, there is a commercial that has been on recently that has the first line of Oh, Lord Won't You By Me a Mercedes Benz. I have really wanted to hear the rest of the song ever since I heard the commercial but couldn't remember who sang it or anything. I looked while I was out shopping, but we were only at Best Buy and Walmart and they don't have any kiosks where you can look it up (and I so didn't want to go up to the Best Buy guy and try to explain. ) So I was looking on the web tonight, and Janis Joplin sings it and I already *have* it. This brought on a fit of giggles and required me to jump up and down and play it over and over. Hubby was afraid.
