I here by retiring my old journal title, News from where the "do not stop signs" grow. Not just because I no longer live there but because the new one suits my life better. I really have been living life like a kid at the pool, standing there watching other splash around having fun. I may put a foot in but never gaining the courage to jump in. I've jumped in the past though even dove in head first once. I didn't end up drowning I just splashed around and had fun with others like I should. Every time I approach the pool its like the first time. Its a hard way to live life but
cats don't like water.
I have been rewinding the days since passed I guess there are a few things that should be mentioned. Tank is still alive and got on disability last summer he's still walking but there is nothing they can do for his back. My mother's fiance is the same guy I've talked about in the past. Its pretty cool living with them. I guess.
Its kind of weird looking back at my life. I can stand fall now for the most part. There is the rare exception when the weather is just right and there is a breeze. I get homesick for the woods I went to college in.
I think it was my first week back from New York my mother and I were sitting in her car outside the local office store eating lunch. I was watching this little girl loading up lumber into the back of a truck. When I say little I mean 5 foot at the most. I laughed at myself mentioning it would be funny if it was a friend of mine from college Jess to my mother. She just encroaged me to check it out. Jess had family in the area so it could have been possible. I got out of the car and slowly approached her. I got a bit of a jump when a small dog popped up in the cab. It was Jess's. Long story and several hugs later. I found out she was living just outside of town and was looking for a roommate. Prefect timing we setup a time to check out her place. What we found out was the place she was living in was abandoned/ used as a shed for 12 years. I have no problem helping her fix up the place I enjoy construction. In the end I didn't move in with her I just help her out with things.
I should mention she pretty looks more like a 12 year old girl then a 28 year old woman and acts like a 16 year old with 12 years exp. She looks so cute climbing the lumber bins at the hardware store. One thing I mention is I have no interest in her other then as a friend. In fact early on we had talked about thing I'll stick with the "gay friend thing" evening though we are both bi. And neither of use have had a same sex relationship. I actually use her as a yard stick for things I don't want in a partner like unshaven legs on women.
I actually had a decent day. One of the guys at work invited me to go to Columbus to see Friday the 13th. Hes pretty cool we're always looking for a time we could go go play trivia at BW3. We had to change things up because his girlfriend was coming home a day early and they had dinner plans. Whatever we still got out of town just didn't go as far. We're thinking about hitting Columbus next week.
