The other, unofficial, product of Livia and the generator last night:
Title: When Roy Dreams
Author: Caia
Prompt: Roy/Indigo, Imaginary love
Warning: Lots of Roy ANGST. According to Carmen, the ULTIMATE ANGST. Don't say I didn't warn you.
Continuity: Probably AU after Graduation Day. Vague references to Outsiders.
Rating: PG-13
Disclaimer: They still don't belong to me.
Roy dreams, sometimes, of the pastel android from the future who caused Donna's death. In his dreams, she didn't mean it; she was only trying to communicate with them. Sometimes, even in the waking moments, he can see her, her delicate form and charming naivete; not a replacement for the woman she inadvertently killed, but a valuable teammate. A sister, if not a mother, to the new team, the new family, he made for them.
As the nights progress, she is no longer a sister, either. He dares to dream the warm, electronic body next to him, the materials of the far future against him, around him; her innocence a welcome contrast to his own corruption.
And then he awakes, alone, teamless, abandoned by all his families. Goes out into the city, and when he comes back alive, sleeps again.
One day, he decides to make a new team.
A real team, if he can still understand the distinction. A real family, if such may be possible.
And then, as I told Carmen and Livia, they all live happily ever after. Really. :)
