I've been playing in a D&D campaign for the better part of the year and my first alignment conflict finally came. During some reconnaissance work in the game my character came upon a soul sucking dagger with a devil sealed inside, which thankfully he was able to resist its orders to rip the heart out of a party member (thank you druid will saves). Since it couldn't control him it began to barter and gave him several tastes of the power it promised and those were very tempting. The problem? It kind of requires a pure innocent soul be trapped inside it. And unfortunate none of our enemies make the "pure innocent" requirement. Now, it's not to say that Nadul is very far on the good side of the spectrum. He's been acting more as the Nature's wrath aspect of a druid than its protector (I've reduced several tracts of forest to ash. When your enemies are all fey and you have junglerazer your love for plants kind of goes to the wayside). It's just that steep price tag, and it may never be a deal to be made as we had to escape the unseelie lair before we could return to retrieve everything.
