I had a weird dream last night. Okay, I always have weird dreams, but in this one, I went back to visit Wells and it was snowing and I got lost (because of course, the layout was entirely different than the real Wells) and I was looking for Mendel House because I was looking for Heather and I couldn't find it (I've never really known where Mendel House is, anyway) but then there was a Gigs concert but instead of a cappella they were doing like, cabaret dancing and it wasn't that great and I was saying, "Aren't Gigs supposed to be an a cappella group, wtf?" and then I lost a shoe, but I went out in the snow anyway and found Heather's room but I had to crawl in through an interior window and something about a hair dryer.
In any case, it makes me miss my Wells buddies. Hear that Wells buddies? I miss you. Your Momiji misses you.
And Heather, I got your letter. Thanks a bunch; even I'd forgotten that you hadn't paid me. So good to see your handwriting. *hugs*
So... I caved and went to Top Food's bulk candy section after work today. Working full-time is a drag, but I don't mind it too much; I've gotten used to the foot soreness so that's not too bad, and the people are fun to hang out with, but it's just monotonous and I'd rather be learning all day with a meal plan. I always forget to bring a fork and end up eating lunch with my dirty fingers. I wash them, but they are still dirty because I work in a nursery. There is dirt eternal. So anyway, I still had $20 of budgeted spending money for the next pay period ('til the 11th) and I spent about $9 of it on candy today. I have Hot Tamales for the apron pocket mañana, and yo soy muy contenta. Egad, I nearly just wrote "je suis muy contenta". Ugh. Someone enroll me in a French class; the Spanish is taking over my brain. Not that I mind Spanish. I just like taking things one at a time, you know?
So that's my quick update. I believe my mother has come and gone from India since my last post; she went on a business trip and had a nice pleasure weekend with her work buddies for some tourism. Her pictures are awesome. She bought me tea, black and green, and a beautiful silver Ganesha pendant which I love and have worn practically every day since she got back. I love it. I also like that he's like, lord of obstacles, so I kind of picture the pachyderm as my Hindu patron saint. Helps to think someone's on your side in life.
In other news, check out the
apartments my B'ham roomies-to-be are looking at this weekend. I'm a little way excited. Oh, the thought of school again is bliss to me.
I. Want. A bicycle.
Just in case you didn't know that.
Tootles.
