Bwaha. I so pwn teh bookz. Get this:
Page 135 (Vanyel):"If being attracted to Stefen had been a betrayal of 'Lendel's memory, then what was this?"
Me:"Reincarnation, sweetheart." (actual quote; I speak to my books)
Page 188 (Starwind):"'[I believe] your Stefen is, or was, the young one called Tylendel.'"
How much did I call that? Yes. I rock.
My dad's birthday was yesterday. I frosted cupcakes. I also cleaned the kitchen, took out the recycling, did all the dishes and swept the front hall, but I wasn't home when he got home so I got no happy reaction. Not that I needed one, really, but usually Dad picks the one thing you didn't do and mentions it and it makes me want to smack him in the face. So I did everything I could think of. I'm sure he appreciated it.
I need a job. My checking account finally hit zero yesterday. Fortunately that was from the oil change I'm to be reimbursed for, unfortunately it was only $20. Fortunately, in a couple weeks I know I'll have a week's worth of house/pet-sitting income under my belt which should be good for anywhere between $50 and $100, either would be super rad. Hoping to get a somewhat-steady job in the church nursery, too, which ought to start some sort of trickle in there. I just want to pay off my credit card, damnit. My mom's been scaring me with that stuff. Sigh. I keep talking and not doing.
Oh yeah, Rebecca just called me by accident.
Me: "Hello."
Bek: "Hi, this is Rebecca."
Me: "Hi!"
Bek: "I was wondering if you and Marshall were going over to that Indian food place...?"
Me: "Beka, you called Caitlin."
Bek: "...Oh my gosh."
It was cute. *still laughing* I miss y'all over there *pokes Wells*
Waiting patiently for the attitude adjustment hour on
teh Mountain. I have a bunch of lyrics on scraps of paper to look up songs I've liked. Mostly written in the car. While driving. Yes.
They played some Led Zeppelin yesterday. Well, I'm sure they play some every day, but they played some yesterday and it was good for... getting down. So I thought, my friends would get a kick out of this if they could see me, so I turned on my camera (which now has a nifty mini tripod so it sits right on my desk and it's awesome) and took a video. Of me. Totally rocking out to the Zep.
Here it is. Now, I had joked previously about recording myself watching shoujo anime so you could all see me squeal and miss me. This is different, but similar. Do enjoy.
