I love rice.
So the other day I went on a bit of a therapeutic shopping trip (the boys said I needed one) to Target, of course. And, among an awesome new water bottle, some Disney Princess Band-Aids and bug spray, I bought myself a cute little, red, 6-cup rice cooker. I'm way excited. And even though I told my mom I'd buy brown rice, I am so not buying brown rice. I'd never eat it. Sticky rice... yum.
So this new water bottle is awesome; it's got a straw that attaches to a short, floppy rubbery straw that bends over when you twist the top thing, and it's got an inner chamber so it doesn't sweat and it keeps stuff cold a lot longer. I stopped by Safeway whilst running errands today and picked up some instant packets of Country Time lemonade and grape Kool-Aid. Hooray for real sugar! I was getting really sick of those stupid Nestea Green Tea To Go things filled with Splenda. Ew.
So yes. And as I mentioned, I have begun to doll again. I made a really cute someone the other day and will share him with you now.

In other news, I heard a song today with a lyric I really liked. I'd heard the song before and have enjoyed it, but I heard the lyric today and it hit me. "If you think that time will change your ways, don't wait too long" is how it went. I believe it's an old quote, but it's the first time I'd heard it like that. It makes me think of me and my habit of assuming my habits will change when I move, when I go to school, when I get a job, &c., &c., when really the only thing that's going to change my ways is me. I need to be more stubborn with myself if I want to get what I want out of life. So I'm working on it.
It is quite hot. I do not enjoy such weather.
P.S. Harry Potter is coming out in, like, ten days. Jesus' mother. Me and Meg are going to the big Borders party to be super nerds for the last time ever, seeing as how there will be no more book releasing parties for HP. Sigh. But boy am I glad for this to be finished. You want to know something stupid? People are saying J.K. is going to kill Harry because she wants this to be the last book. Hang on, wasn't this supposed to be the last book, anyway? Does anyone really expect more than seven books? This isn't The Wheel Of Time, people, it's freaking Harry Potter! There are only seven books! She doesn't have to fricking kill Harry Potter to kill the flipping series! Idiocy, I tell you. Idiocy.
