I suppose I will miss random Texas closings due to "inclement weather," whether the actual precipitation is something to worry about. UNT closed today due to ice, although it only started icing about 2 hours ago and it's currently 9:50 pm. Cracks me up, but I enjoyed the lazy day.
The semester has started off alright. Classes aren't bad, but they're not great. The internship I went to last week went well. It's going to be a good learning environment and I'm happy that I'm finally seeing new things, especially since I'm going to have to do those tests when I start the position in Minnesota. Because it's supposed to be icy and "wintry mix" all night, I may have to miss the internship I missed last week due to being sick. BTW, I have two internships this semester. I emailed my supervisor and said that I'll wake up as normal and will leave when the roads are safe to drive on. I asked if that was okay, so hopefully that will work out. I feel guilty about missing two weeks in a row, but my mom lectured me on making smart decisions when it comes to the weather. I know she's right and that missing tomorrow won't be my fault either, I still feel bad.
Speaking of the current weather, I'm surprised at how much traffic I hear outside. Dumb.
Day #1 of waking up to hit the gym before on-campus work went surprisingly well yesterday. I was disappointed to not be able to attempt that again today. I was initially tired after working out, but my energy levels stayed up and pretty constant throughout the remainder of the day. That is, until about 10:00. Not bad considering I got up at 6:30. We'll see if I can keep this up.
