No rain from Gustav, but we did experience a 25 degree temperature drop. It's quite nice now! Low 70s.... We could use the rain.
My brother is doing better. He managed to go to school today. He's using a cane for balance and strength because his left leg is still bothering him and he still gets tired pretty easily, but he's doing so much better. I'm so appreciative of everyone who sent positive thoughts are way. I do think that makes a difference.
School has started. Pretty uneventful so far. It's odd only having class one day a week. Well, plus my undergrad class which I only attend one day a week and I'm done by 9:30am, so that doesn't seem to count too much. My internship is still going fabulously. I love working with children and I'm really enjoying being in a medical setting. Definitely seems to be clicking with me.
Feeling cold-like. No fun. Hopefully it's just the weather change that I experienced while in Denver this weekend compounded by our drastic change in weather. I'm drinking some Airborn while I peruse the internet to see if that helps.
I'm trying to not get too worked up over politics. I hate feeling like a lot is on the line and there's only so much I can do to affect the outcome. Really, things will happen as they happen and I can only roll with it. Sigh.
On a final note, Nordstrom shoe sales are the best. That says a lot coming from someone who isn't all that into shoes.
