Yes, I may be becoming slightly more domestic. I decided to try a crock pot recipe for albondigas, which is a spanish meatball soup. Except mine turned out more like a stew, but it still tasted good! So I'm excited for being brave and trying something new and finding it completely edible. My crock pot is my new best friend. If anyone wants the recipe, just let me know. It's so easy even I can make it!
I'm getting anxious to get back on a regular schedule. My sleep schedule is so out of whack that it's making it somewhat harder to function. I had horrible insomnia last night, probably because I've been sleeping an excessive amount for me. 9+ hours a night. My classes seem interesting, too, save for research methods. But, gotta take the good with the bad! I'm looking forward to the challenge of this semester.
I'm also leaving for Las Vegas at the butt crack of dawn tomorrow. I'm really excited, as it will be my first time there outside of the airport. I'm staying with two of my good friends from college, so that should be lots of fun. My mom is kind of going psycho on me and lecturing me on all the ways to keep myself safe. They're all pretty common sense, but I'm taking it in stride. I realize she means well and I try to limit my eye rolling. I'll probably call her a lot just to make her relax. The friends I'm going with aren't known to get all crazy, so I doubt we'll be doing much to endanger ourselves. But still, it's good to take precautionary measures.
I was at a coffeeshop last night waiting for a friend and I was appalled to hear this guy drop the f-bomb literally in every.single.sentence. I'm not offended when people say that word, I just choose not to. I'm not one to swear a whole lot, anyway. To me, when people find it necessary to say f-this, f-that, something is so effing amazing, whatever, it decreases their intelligence in my eyes. It's not proving anything by saying it all the time. And is it that hard to use another word? Apparently so. They even felt the need to go to one of their cars and get a Bible while they were playing Scrabble (yeah, doesn't make sense to me, either) and still that guy was dropping the f-bomb left and right. Seemed strange and it was highly annoying.
