My Birthday is Over...

Sep 22, 2006 02:38

...and I am soooo tired.  I don't know why, I've done absolutely nothing.  Maybe because it's almost 3AM????  Yeah, that's probably it.  I finally got some birthday presents, all from Jake, of course.  I recently got my ears pierced (for the fourth time), so he got me this really cute pair of earrings (he also bought the pair they pierced my ears with and paid for it to be done).  They're little pink stud flowers.  I love them.  I was kind of expecting earrings, so I'm glad I got some.  He also got me the new Corrs cd, Home.  I've listened to some of it and it is AWESOME!!!  I was so surprised with that one, I've never even asked for it.  Usually when it's around Christmas or Valentines Day or my birthday, he starts asking me what I want, and I never know what to tell him.  Plus, I don't really like having to tell him what to get me (I wanna be surprised!!!).  This is sad, but I actually felt a bit of pride when I opened it.  My last gift was the first season of Everwood on DVD.  Oh yeah!!!  I heart Everwood.  And I despise CW for ditching it, when it was clearly one of the top shows on WB.  Certainly better than 7th Heaven, which they brought back, AFTER there was a series finale (Don't get me wrong, I like 7th Heaven, but it is no match for Everwood).  I'm considering boycotting the network.  I can wait for Gilmore Girls to come out on DVD, or get syndicated.
For my birthday dinner, we went to Shoney's.  Which sucked ass.  But I'm in the middle of nowhere, so I shouldn't really expect much.  Next year, I think we'll just hit up Arby's for some roast beef, YUM!!  Hopefully the mediocre birthday supper will be made up by the anniversary one on Sunday.  It'll be three years for me and Jake, and I think I heard him say something about going to Lexington and the Olive Garden.  So there's that to look foward to.
Also, the football game Saturday night.  I don't have a clue who they're playing, but the last game was really good.  I don't understand all the rules, just enough to know that my team, in the blue shirts, need to get the ball past the other team.  Plus, Jake will have to play with the band, which is good fun.  I'm hoping a friend at a college not too far away from here will wanna drive up and spend the day with me.  I really don't want to sit alone.  I really need to try and make friends outside of band.  I love band people, though.  Glad I'm not one of them, anymore.
I'm tired, and I'll probably end up missing my first class, despite the fact that it's at 11:30.  Here's hoping I don't have a psych exam after that, seeing as how I haven't been to that class once this week.  Turning in.
