Work and more
One of my co-workers that has been here FOREVER announced today that she's retiring. It completely messed with my fung shui and world view. I'm now the person that has been at the office the longest. WTF.
In all the horror going on in Japan, which has me crying nightly, I really hope that our nation looks at the nuclear workers as the heros they are. It's not the basketball player or the television icon that should be looked upon as a hero, but the ordinary man who knows he will most likely die from the radiation but returns to his job to help save his remaining friends and neighbors. That man is my hero. And when I'm feeling whiny and irratable, I really need to remember that.
