I know I've been talking about making jewelry for Mom for her cruise and promising that I'd show y'all some of it. Well here is the post you've been waiting for. Whoo Hoo!
These are beaded earrings in copper, deep emerald and bronze. The bronze and copper are just generic beads, the green are toho seed beads and it was stitched with black embroidery thread. The photo really doesn't do these the justice they deserve. You can click
here and get a better look at them. These were made to match a deep emerald dress that has a copper/green/blue/bronze knitted shawl that goes over it. They are abou 2.5 - 3 inches long.
This is a necklace/earring combo made from teal glass beads in two sizes, E and 8mm. The necklace base is a piece of sterling memory wire, the extra chain is some sterling chain I had in the craft box, and the remaining wire is sterling, medium hard. It was made to match a v-neck, black dress with teal accents. The earrings are about 1.5 inches over all, and the longest drop on the necklace is about 4.5 inches long.
Here is a closer view.
These are a matching set made from peridot Swarovski crystals in 3 sizes, sterling chain, sterling wire medium hard, a sterling finding of uncertain name, and the 2008 Swarovski membership ornament. Click here to see the
ornament alone. Click here to see the
Necklace better. Click here to see the
Earrings better. The earrings are about 3.5 inches long total. The necklace is about 36 inches long. This was made to match a hunter Chinese style dress that had pale green bamboo and hibiscus on it.
I made a few other pieces, but they got packed before I got a chance to take pictures of them. I'll get them online when they come back from the cruise.
Enjoy!
