Fanfiction and dreams
I'm re-reading some of the nominees for the IYFG.
Yesterday I re-read Of Strings and Kevlar (which is a MUST READ for any of you that were ever in the band).
Well, last night I had the strangest dreams about this guy that I had the biggest crush on in high school. In RL he was the lead percussionist/snare in the band, lead in a couple of the plays the drama club put on (including the one I directed), and he was the main motivator of the youth group that I went to. He was tall (taller than me at least), had a wonderful smile, blond hair, blue eyes, and was a kind, intelligent man. And I had it for him BAD. Because I could play multiple instruments in the band, I would switch each year so that I could work with the percussionists as much as possible. (I started out on clarinet, went to french horn/baritone, then to trumpet and finished off with clarinet that came to play the marimba during the middle of the field show)
Oh BY where are you now? :sigh: Probably married with children and running a church camp or something.
Anyway. After reading through OS&K again, I dreamed it all night with my former crush as the Inuyasha lead. Wanna know what actually sucked about the whole thing? I didn't even play the Kagome part in my own dream. I was nameless ensign #3. :sigh:
I'm just hoping none of the other works I've been reading (Uke, Coda, Shrine Prostitute) get turned into BY as IY! EEP!
