I Survived My First Freeze!
We had a few inches of snow and single digit temperatures. It was so cold my ipod stopped working halfway to my walk into work, and in general I felt like Morgan Freeman should have been narrating.
Contractors started work on redoing our kitchen last week, meaning they came by, messed about a bit, found a slab of asbestos, and left again. Apparently they also wrote down initial measurements wrong (???) and realized they will need to do a new design. :| So who knows. I half suspect they will begin in earnest just before Christmas so as to leave us with only a microwave and a toaster oven, but who knows.
I'm dreading Thanksgiving and graduation. I keep telling myself soon it will be over with and I can actually relax, but that really does only go so far... *sigh*
I also got the first two books from The Raven Cycle from the library because I've read lots of good things about the series, but I'm halfway through the first book and there just isn't much happening? I'm at least going to try finishing the first book, but otherwise, maybe I have finally turned old and grouchy....
