so...i wish i could stay in portland forever...

oh goodness. the last like 10 days have been ridiculous. let's play hi/lo but it's only my turn:
*last weekend:
-awesome salsa on saturday night. like, one of my favorites. it was great. and i got chocolate chip pancakes at perkins. matt has agreed to help me out with club fair dancing, as well as to come with to the bof after salsa at simply dance. i heart friends who are also good dancers. :D
-sunday i went shopping with my family. great fun :D and they fed me! yay!
-pulled 2 all-nighters in 3 nights when i realized i actually wanted to read Random Family instead of just skimming it. what should have been a 5ish-page reflection became 18 pages of sociological analysis. i rock. :D
-am very nearly caught up on just about everything, and ahead on some things, even. yay me!
-my nails are long. huge accomplishment for a girl who has bitten her nails since the second grade.
-cut 9 inches off my hair. i like it.
-had a FANTABULOUS long weekend at the psa conference in portland. more detailed story to follow, but hilights included an envelope of money, voodoo donut, my own giant bed, not getting carded, no sales tax, one of my favorite cousins, feeling not only smart but being "academically superior", and lots of food.
-patrick will be here in like four and a half days. not that i'm counting or anything.
-they've begun demolition on our house-we're remodeling like half of it. so we can sell it and build a new one. i don't really get it, but if it keeps my mom happy i'm all for it.
-am now much more likely to have to have the damn surgery. but also feel much better about it. almost sounds kind of fun.
-my room is a pit. but it'll be ok...
-my to-do list is hugely shorter than it was a week ago. am hugely proud of self.
and, finally: found a youtube video of a british "dancing with the stars" salsa performance. i've successfully done all but one of the moves. i am enormously impressed with myself, amazed at how practice pays off, and excited for my birthday dance. my fortune cookie today said i love the thrill of showmanship. i say "oh really? is that so?"
also, i hate stupid people.
