I've been MIA for a while, dealing with the move to the rental house. We just got the internet shut on yesterday, after a long several days without. If you have recently emailed me, I promise I am not ignoring you, and I hope to respond as soon as I set up the new email address this evening. We are in a weird sort of limbo right now, with our furniture and most necessities at the house and all the rest (books, many toys, pictures on the walls, random stuff) awaiting its trip over in the minivan.

We love the new house. The kitchen is awesome, and I finally have room to spread out. It's also so much easier to keep it clean. The neighborhood also makes me so happy. We have been going on walks every day to see the houses in different stages of rehab. There are several cute little houses for sale right near us, and Andy and I are starting to reconsider our plan to leave the area next year. The idea of just settling here in this neighborhood that we like would be much, much easier. Did I mention that we are within a 3 minute walk to 2 great playgrounds? I hope to post some pictures once I have it in a more presentable state.

Lydia and Holden have poison ivy. Thankfully, Holden seems only mildly annoyed by the rash across his face and neck, but poor, poor Lydia is a mess. She is having a severe reaction, and her face is swollen to an unrecognizable form. Her eyes were almost completely shut yesterday when she awoke. A trip to the ped and a prescription for a steroid later, and she seems more comfortable. Andy has the fun job of de-ivy-ing the backyard this weekend. I really hope this never, never happens again.
