Update-a-thon

Hello! This is going to be long...and I'm not doing an LJ cut...so DEAL :-p

I'm sitting here at work on my last day with nothing to do...so I figured I'd update my journal before I go home and the moving out thing is in full swing!

Lots has happened since I got back from the casino...hehe. Stephanie and I worked our asses off to finish summer camps and finish the CD. What a pain in the neck that was! We were so glad this week to finally have it all done.

Let's see. Two weeks ago, I was rudely awaken on a Sunday morning by a text message on my cell phone: I'm in Moncton...what are the plans..do you want to hang out? I fired off a little "some of us sleep in on Sundays" message, and got myself up and ready for the day. Went off to Riverview to meet Charles. We drove around Moncton looking at some touristy things....The tidal bore...the concert site. It was all quite thrilling, really...I had pretty much no voice, which added to the fun ;-) Hehe. After, we stopped off at Pumphouse Brewery for some lunch. Yum yum. I had a Blueberry Ale and a Muddy River Stout with my bruschetta. After paying our bills, we headed farther down Main Street. The Tintamarre for "le 15 aout des fous" had already started. I spotted Terry and he, Charles, and I headed off for a beer at Doc Dylans. We headed out to the patio where we caught the first few artists....Fayo being one of them. He was really good. Suzanne Legere started and we walked down Main Street to meet up with Kenzie and Chris. We headed back closer to the concert where we got 1755. Awesome band. Chris and Charles wanted another beer....by this time, Doc Dylans was inaccessible! So we headed off to the Manhattan. The guys had their drinks and we joked around. We headed back to the concert and gave Charles the task of pushing his way to the front while we all followed. We ended up with pretty great spots to watch the show. It was a great show! Les Paiens make me wanna dance...hehe. After the concert, I dropped Charles off in Riverview and headed home to tweak my presentation.

Monday morning, I got up to find out I had lost my voice again....grrr. I burned my presentation to CD and headed off to the Delta Beausejour with my Halls close by. After a lovely meal of chicken emincé, I took the podium for my presentation. It went very well. My slides were very nice, and I threw in a few anecdotes that they seemed to quite enjoy. I was told that the meeting was supposed to be an hour long, so I had set my cell phone to temporary silence mode. While I was on stage I heard "woooooooooooooooooop!". I received a text message. After my presentation, I took my seat and the other girl did her presentation. I checked my messages, the latest was from Charles wanting to know if I wanted to hang out. I had nothing pressing to do, so I fired off a few messages back and we met up at the mall. We wandered around the mall for a bit...I got a microphone for my sister and a webcam for myself. After a quick visit to the Acadian souvenir shop, we parted ways. I headed home to go to work...

I picked my courses like two months ago...connect was being a bitch and wasn't accepting them. It finally did, and I'm now registered. I have classes Monday=Wednesday=Friday from 8:30-3:30...Classic Myths, Calculus, Physics, Latin, and French (to be reviewed)

For the last three weeks, I've been looking after this house in my subdivision. The people are trying to sell it and have moved to Seattle. It's still full of stuff though because it looks nicer to sell a furnished house. Anyway, I was watering the front garden, checking the mail, emptying the dehumidifer, and checking for ants. Last week I get a phone call from my mom: The real estate agent selling the house just called for me. The basement is flooded. Quoi le hell?! I left work and went there...basement was full of boxes...they had to be unpacked...had to vacuum up the water with a wet vacuum. It was a day and a half! Had to call the air conditioner technician. Fun times right there! Stephanie and I hung out for an hour or two watching trashy tv and relaxing in their leather sofas...waiting for the tech to show up....teehee.

Last weekend was community days. Oh joy! Stephanie and I pulled many 12-13 hour days. We sold calendars and the CDs (Which, ended up having a glitch and not working! Yay for re-doing them)On the Saturday, we took pictures and printed them. They were kinda cool.

Monday we had the day off, so mom and I headed into town. I got myself an mp3 player, an herb garden, and a cactus...haha. A couple other school related things as well.

On Wednesday, I went to work, and then headed off to the dentist and DMV. I'm cavity-free and I now have a new picture on my license. How fun!

Thursday we had a going away party for Patrick across the street. We made him a lovely scrapbook and we had pizza and cupcakes. It was fantastic...hehe. Mrs. DeMille came and I got paid...$1100 woo!

Yesterday, I got up and Steph and I went out to Tim Hortons for breakfast. On the way back, I stopped at the house that I was watching. The woman was home, and I was going to be paid. The base price had been $105. Before the extra phone calls to check mail...send addresses...and clean up after the a/c broke down. Then I though $200 would be fair. Steph said $250...So I said $250...the woman said "Are you sure that's fair? How about $300?"
Haha...fine with me! I made a $1450 deposit yesterday...YAY!

We headed out to Shediac for the wedding around 2 with Dana and Jean (my uncle and aunt). The church was beautiful and Bonnie and Gerald looked great. I took some really nice black and whites. The father of the bride has asked me to after seeing my photo gallery on my wall in my room. After the wedding, we headed to a marina for the reception. It was great. Food was good...music was awesome...and my dad and uncle kept me well alcoholized...haha

Anyway, I should print some resumes off. Being in here by myself freaks me out a bit. The building is so huge and every little noise kinda scares me...:-s....so I am keeping my headphones in...haha

After work, mom and I are going into town to get the rest of my school shit...woo
