Fuck Michael Jackson:
I'm really fucking tired of hearing news outlets and celebrities talk about Michael Jackson as if he 1.) Released a decent album in the last 15 years or 2.) has been culturally relevant in the last 15 years. Everyone seems to blithely gloss over the fact that he was responsible for whoring out the Beatles catalog in commercials and film in order to pay for child molestation lawsuits. Oh yeah, and we've all forgotten that he was repeatedly accused of fucking children and was essentially living in hiding.
But, you know, feigned respect for the dead is a powerful thing. It's easy to forget that no one gave two shits about Michael Jackson until he fucking croaked. And, for that matter, no one was currently [proclaiming his "legend" status. In fact, it's fair to say most of us have just been waiting for the train-wreck to end.
Mama-se, mama-sa, ma-ma-coo-sa, indeed.
