Here's goes: 1. Cause I got all confused and thought I was friending myself. Okay also because you're the bestest roommate/friend/sister/boyfriend/heterolifemate a girl can have!
2. Friends (and a bajillion other tv shows), the Tivo sounds (thanks for introducing us *tear), uhm, let's just nip this in the bud, pretty much everything reminds me of you. Also fishies!
3. It'd be a shorter list if I say what I don't like about you: NOTHING!
4. So little space....let's start at the beginning, you were shy and homesick and I remember you holding onto my arm as we walked out of some sort of orientation thing and I was like "wow, she's gonna need me around for awhile!" Boy was I right ;).
I remember the night you and Darby crawled into bed with me when I was mourning over the loss of aforementioned first boyfriend that Josie comforted me on as well.
I remember our crazy sketchy apartment, and how we almost bought a much worse place from the first realtor just because he was cute and young and we wanted to be friends with him.
*deep breath* Gus. Taco boxes. Crazy homeless people. Grown up apartment. Grocery Shopping. Bouncing on the couch while telling you all about this "awesome new show we have to watch" (Which was The OC). Working retail. Boys. Schmoopy Dates.
How everyone at the castle who didn't know us probably thought we were lesbian lovers.
"Wait, what?"
How you knew what kind of mood I was in the second you walked through the door. "The Shoebox." Our neighbor's pet rat. The soccer suite. "Oh my god it's falling apart, put it back, put it back, put it back!" "Eeeeerin, you left your boob on the toilet!"
The look on your face when you and Pat (Marsha's Pat, not roomie Pat) got back to the sailboat and your lips were all swollen with salt and your eyes were huge and you were beaming because you'd just seen a sea turtle.
My last day freshman year. Our last day senior year. The night we moved in. The night you moved out. The night I moved out. How you make food for me. Sitting at your mother's table talking about your, and your father's, relationship with Isaac. "Erin!" yelled out midair, followed by an instant piggy back ride. (Trying that drunk in Vegas was a bad idea). More some tequila!
The night you found out your mom was definitely moving to Charleston. "Ethnic" macaroni and cheese, made by a Jew. Class with Rabbi Al. "I'm causing a scene!" Stu. Josh (not mine). Stories about Henry. When Henry emailed you.
Visiting Julia. Harry Potter in London...you spilling the kettle corn. You proving your ability to keep secrets when it really matters. You proving your inability to keep secrets, especially when people are silly enough to think they can tell you or me something and say "Don't tell Caitlin/Erin." I think I'm gonna run out of space to post this...
5. Are you actually the other illegitimate daughter of Earlene Cushman-Bremer and Arthur Blake? No, let's see. Okay, since there's honestly no question I can think of that I don't already know the answer to, what musical instrument do you wish you knew how to play most?
I knew it! I was trying to remember if there was an instrument you played, and I totally had you pegged for a flout...flot...uhm flute player.
And it almost made me cry too! It also made me miss you a lot, so I'm glad we're getting together for PR. I love my new friends n all, but I love you more and first! It'll be nice to have a chance to talk without all them being rambunctious. Dirty kids.
That list felt longer when I was making it b/c everything came with a whole memory attached, re-reading, it barely skims the surface.
