Been NaNoing again...

I'm sure that part of the reason I've had so little trouble so far this year is because I've been either at home or at John's for every one of the past three days and so I've not had any real excuse not to write.

I've been able to settle myself in front of the computer and twice I've stayed up until two in the morning to churn out words, giving my word count a healthy boost.

Also I just feel inspired. I'm loving how involved with it I feel this year. Probably not just because I've been able to spend that much more time online talking to people who are also taking part with things, but also because there's a strong possibility that we'll get a bunch of NaNoers over to Bute for a mini meet-up and I'm involved with getting that organised... finding places we can eat, things we can do when they get here, etc.

John's joined in too, so we can share things together. I have someone I can talk to about NaNo. Even Dad is spurring me on this year.

And I'm beyond 16,000! That's like a week ahead of myself.

I'm feeling quite bubbly just now because the last section that I wrote featured Liv and Stephen heading out onto the streets of Glasgow to interview a group of prostitutes to find out whether or not they knew one of the girls whose body had been found. It just came really easily (even the Glasgowegian dialect, strangely enough). Their relationship is coming along quite well and I'm just now seeing the seeds of what is going to come between them later on - I was worried that Stephen would come across as seeming a little bit creepy but right now he seems quite concerned about Liv, which is what I was hoping for.

I'm even considering sharing bits of it... considering... I'll maybe let John have a little look later on in the week.

And now?

Bed!
