ahh, so today was an adventure. at seven this morning mom was yelling at dad on the phone because the house was cold. at 8:15 work called and scheduled me to work every weekend between now and doomsday (or the end of april, you know...whichever). at 9 dad came home from work, banged on the heat pump a time or two and decided it was broken. so, i spent the rest of the day waiting in a cold house for some bubba to come fix the heat pump. yay spring break.
but, i was semi-productive for a while. i outlined the bibliography sketch due tuesday in my advanced comp class. i also started working on my paper/oral presentation on may day for the crazy folklore nazi. who knew that may day is a hold over from the ancient pagan holiday beltaine which celebrates the coming of summer. beltaine was celebrated with unbridled merrymaking and (apparently) lots and lots of sex. sounds to me like a holiday that should get a little more press in the us.
that's your trivia for today. gotta keep those brains active, even on spring break, right? i know, bullshit. speaking of keeping my brain active, i'm watching the maury show, which is showcasing morbidly obese toddlers. god bless america (or whatever).
